2007 League Recap!
The first annual WOMEN's summer
hockey league was kicked off in July and ran through August 2007. The
league was successful and everyone had a lot of fun. We had enough people
sign up to have 4 teams with approximately 10 players on each team and a
goalie. The games were played at World Arena and Sertich. Women of all
skill levels and ages played in the league this summer with the youngest
being 15 years old and the oldest over 50. We even had a couple of
players from Pueblo and Denver to join us!
The feedback was extremely
positive with a lot of good input on how to improve operations of the league
next year so keep an eye out for the SECOND annual women's hockey
league. The league will probably be held on Tuesday nights starting in July
and running through August of 2008. More specific details will be announced
as we get closer to next year.
